I fell in love with astrology more than 30 years ago – since reading Linda Goodman’s Sun Signs at age 13. I studied on my own, and secretly analyzed the charts of everyone I knew, for many years. During my Saturn Return (late 20s), I studied with astrologer John Marchesella, and I came out of the closet and started giving readings professionally in 1999.
I’m now honored to pursue my passion for astrology full-time, as a reader, writer and teacher. I work with clients around the world via phone and Skype. Above all, I work with astrology as a tool for healing, empowerment, personal growth and collective evolution.
A history of childhood health challenges, and success with alternative therapies in my own life, inspired me to study a variety of healing modalities, including herbal medicine, Polarity Therapy, Reiki, flower essences, BodyTalk and Accunect. My training in energy work informs my approach to astrology as a healing art.
In 2008 I served as the in-house astrologer for Tarot.com, which features my astrology reports – Life Purpose, Mars Power and Creativity – and from 2008-2012 as the Chief Staff Astrologer for the website of my longtime astro-super-heroine Jan Spiller. My dear friend and amazing energy healer Katie Todd and I launched our Full Moon teleclass series for women – Lunar Galactic Activations – in 2012, and you can find out all about it at Full Moon Priestess.
My writing has been published in The Mountain Astrologer, and in 2013 I published my first book – Creating With the Cosmos: An Astrological Guide to Awakening and Enhancing Creative Power. I have a background in facilitating creative writing workshops (and founded Portland Women Writers), and I love working with other writers and artists to support creative expression.
Before surrendering to my passion for astrology, I thought I wanted to be an academic. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in English from Brandeis University, and earned an M.A. in Women’s Studies from Emory University. The New York Open Center and the Esalen Institute provided further (and ultimately more satisfying) “graduate studies” in the fields of spirituality, personal development, and the healing and creative arts.
“Our obligation to survive and flourish is owed not just to ourselves but also to that cosmos ancient and vast from which we spring. We are one species. We are star stuff harvesting star light.” – Carl Sagan
